Param super computer was developed by the Indian scientists, Super computer Param 8000was launched on july1,1991 is considered India's first super computer.It was indigenously built in 1991 by C-DAC and was replicated and installed at ICAD Moscow in 1991under  Russian collaboration.

            Bhatkar  is best known as the architect of India's national initiative in super computing,where he led the development of Param super computer.
